Welcome to historic New Richmond’s website! Our community is proud of its Ohio River heritage and association with the anti slavery movement championed by James G. Birney in his newspaper the PHILANTHROPIST. This inheritance is evident in two village sites earning historical markers on the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom.

As pleased as we are about our past we are more excited about our future. New Richmond is experiencing historic growth and development. Our ideal location, just 20 minutes from downtown Cincinnati, is no longer secret; the word is out and justifiably!

New Richmond is a full service community offering residents professional police, fire and emergency medical services in addition to quality water, waste water, street maintenance, refuse and sanitation services. We have numerous parks equipped with active recreational equipment, beautiful Ohio River vistas and excellent public boat launching facilities.

We benefit from a top quality educational system, which offers excellent educational opportunities, modern infrastructure and a wide range of academic, cultural and sports programs.

Be sure to visit us at your earliest opportunity! Catch our River Days Festival, one of those picturesque Ohio River views or our summer concerts at the bandstand. I look forward to meeting you and talking with you about our town!
