Bethel - New Richmond Road Sewer Line Expansion Phase II
Sealed Bids for construction of the second phase of the Bethel - New Richmond Road Sewer Line Expansion project will be received by the Village of New Richmond, Ohio, at the office of the Village Administrator, at 102 Willow Street, New Richmond, Ohio 45157, until 1:00 p.m., local time, on Thursday, May 9, 2002 at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The work consists of the Installation of 1214 LF of 8-inch PVC sewer line, a pump station, 2263 LF of force main, five manholes, a drop connection to an existing manhole, services, pavement replacement, and surface restoration.
Copies of the Bidding Documents may be examined at the above office, or at the office of Jones & Henry Engineers, Ltd., 463 Ohio Pike Suite 305, Cincinnati, Ohio 45255, without charge. Copies may be obtained from the latter office upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $100.00, check only, made payable to Jones & Henry Engineers, Ltd., for each set of Bidding Documents.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than November 1, 2002.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Order 84-9 shall be required.
Bidder must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Clermont County and the Village of New Richmond, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239.
DOMESTIC STEEL USE REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 153.011 OF THE REVISED CODE APPLY TO THIS PROJECT. COPIES OF SECTION 153.011 OF THE REVISED CODE CAN BE OBTAINED FROM ANY OF THE OFFICES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES.
Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his Bid within 60 days after the actual opening thereof.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid, which is deemed most favorable to the owner.
