St. Rt. 132 Closing
Update: June 4, 2010
Beginning Monday June 7th, at 8:00 am, State Route 132, within the
village limits will be closed to allow for the replacement of a box culvert.
The road will be closed for five (5) days. To see project information and

Meeting Cancelled

Notice is hereby given that the June 8th, 2010 regular Village Council
Meeting has been cancelled. The next regularly scheduled council meeting
is June 22nd, 2010 @ 7:00 pm.
Grant Awarded
Update: March 7, 2010
New Richmond, Fire/EMS Chief Mark Baird is pleased to announce that that
Fire Department has been awarded a grant in the amount of $ 36,813.00 under
the Assistance to Firefighters program. The grant allows for the replacement
of 16 sets of protective pants and coats, 33 helmets and 33 pair of boots.
The Village will contribute a local match is $1,937 or 5% for a total project
cost of $ 38,750.00.
2009 Citizen of the Year Award
Update: August 26, 2009
Each year the village honors one of our residents with
the Citizen of the Year Award. The award is presented to the individual who
continually volunteers his or her time to better the Village of New Richmond.
This year the award was presented to Ray Perszyk during Riverdays. Ray has
taken on many projects in an effort to better the village. Along with serving
on village council, Ray has assisted with our downtown revitalization efforts,
designed the village’s logo, assisted with the development of our website,
assists with village events and is know as Cardboard Boat Ray for his countless
hours of involvement with the annual Cardboard Boat Race.

NEW RICHMOND HIRES NEW POLICE CHIEF
Update: August 2, 2009
The Village of New Richmond is pleased to announce the appointment
of Randy Harvey as its new police chief. Upon the recommendation of Mayor Ramona
Carr, he was appointed by village council at its regular meeting on Tuesday July
28, 2009.Harvey will assume full-time duties on August 31, 2009

NRFEMS RECEIVES FEDERAL GRANT
Update: January 1, 2009
New Richmond Fire and EMS Department was recently
awarded $ 115,076 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's 2008 Assistance
to Firefighters
Grant (AFG) Program. Since 2001, similar grants have helped fire departments
across the country obtain critically needed equipment, protective gear, emergency
vehicles, training, and other resources to protect the public and emergency
personnel from fire and related hazards.
